GUIDES & ANSWERS

Dashboard views and filters

Choose Agenda, Tile or Compact, filter visits by tags, and navigate or refresh the day.

Choose a day and a view

  1. Select a day using Date navigation. Month arrows change the displayed months without changing the selected day. Today returns to the current day in the company time zone on larger screens; the Today toolbar button is hidden on mobile.
  2. Use Show calendar or Hide calendar to reclaim space. On larger screens the sidebar stays visible while you scroll and fits complete months with at least one. Its count reserves room for the page header, so scrolling does not change it; resizing can. On narrow screens, open the calendar through the date field.
  3. Choose Compact, Tile or Agenda in the toolbar. Mobile shows only their icons: a nine-square grid for Compact, a four-square grid for Tile, and horizontal rows for Agenda. Accessible names still identify each view.
  4. The selected date and view stay in the URL, including view=compact. Reload and Back/Forward preserve the selection. Switching views uses the already loaded day and does not fetch Jobber again.
  5. To return to this guide from the app, open the configuration/account menu and choose the underlined Documentation link at the bottom, below Log out. It is available to Admins and Users.

Agenda, Tile or Compact?

Choose the level of visit detail you need. All three views share the same selected day, capacity calculations, warnings, calendar and configuration.

Each view keeps Committed Jobs first, then visits requiring classification where applicable, then Waitlisted Jobs. Only the visit-card presentation changes.

TileUp to three cards per row, grouped by matching start and end times. The full visit details, in a narrower card layout.

Compact view

Use Compact to fit more visits on the screen. Each card shows the client name, property name/address and assigned workers. If the client name is unavailable, the visit title is used as its fallback.

Capacity figures, the extra job title, inline warning/status text, divider and the entire footer are omitted. Recurring/One-off, Work type, assignment tags and View in Jobber remain available in Agenda and Tile.

Visits with exactly the same start and end times share a band. Bands sort by start time, then end time, with separate all-day and unavailable-time bands where needed. The grid adapts from three columns to two and then one as space narrows.

  1. Choose Compact, or its nine-square grid icon on mobile.
  2. Use Filters to narrow the list. Compact can match any supported tag even though its cards do not display tags.
  3. Switch to Tile or Agenda when you need capacity details, tags or the Jobber link. Switching does not refresh the source data.

Filter visits by tags

Filters uses the visits already loaded in your browser. Selections apply immediately to Agenda, Tile and Compact without a server request or another Jobber synchronization.

The funnel button is beside the view selector. Its badge counts active selections. Showing X of Y visits describes the visible visits versus the full loaded day; smaller screens abbreviate this as X/Y. Option counts are visits, not workers, and describe the full loaded day.

  1. Open Filters. Desktop shows a floating panel over the page; mobile shows a bottom drawer. Neither adds an inline section above your visits.
  2. Select the checkboxes you need. Only options found on the loaded day are offered, plus any active selection that now has zero matches. The options scroll while Close and Clear filters remain available.
  3. Match any selection within one group, and require all selected groups. For example, Recurring plus One-off includes either job type; adding Crew missing restricts the result to visits with a staffing shortage.
  4. Close the panel with its close icon, Escape or a click outside it. Your choices remain active. Use Clear filters in the panel or the no-match message to restore all visits.

When does the dashboard refresh?

Opening/reloading the dashboard or changing the selected day checks the saved source data. A matching day fetched less than two minutes ago is reused across Daily, Weekly and company users. Refresh always requests live day data. There is no periodic polling, focus refresh or background synchronization. On mobile, Refresh shows only its icon or loading spinner.

Saved same-date cards can remain visible with updating indicators while the request runs. Cards and totals replace together after a successful update. updated retains the real source-fetch time; a cache hit does not advance it.

Overlapping refresh operations are prevented. If a refresh fails, the last successful snapshot can stay visible with an error; use Refresh to try again. Another person’s browser does not automatically receive your update.

Weekly capacity overview

Use Daily / Weekly in the app header to open a separate Sunday–Saturday capacity page. Weekly starts on the current company week and has no visit filters or Compact/Tile/Agenda selector.

Each day stacks the same eight KPIs. One always-visible Capacity by Work Type section sits below the main KPI grid, with a shared heading and divider and tiles aligned by day. Dates identify the work-type groups on smaller screens. Day headings open the corresponding daily dashboard. Saved figures appear first; days refresh sequentially and each column updates as soon as its response finishes.

  1. Use the arrows to move one week backward/forward, or This week to return to the current week.
  2. Select a date in the existing left calendar or mobile date picker to stay on Weekly and open that date’s week.
  3. Choose Refresh week to update all seven days. If one day fails, saved values remain with an error and Retry day; missing saved data uses placeholders rather than zero.
